Upcoming Annual Election of Officers
The Society of Professional Assessors will conduct an election of officers at its' Annual Meeting on May 21, 2008 in Newport RI. All members are encouraged to attend and those eligible to vote should do so. The Nominating Committee is inviting any members who are interested in serving for the ensuing year to submit their name for consideration. The By-Laws of the Society of Professional Assessors are currently undergoing a review and re-write. Draft changes will be available soon for members to review and comment on. The Society of Professional Assessors was established in 1964 for the express purpose of sponsoring educational programs relating to the problems and techniques involved in the administration of assessment practices. Our In-Service training programs are designed to provide professional development opportunities that will improve the knowledge and competence of assessing officials, advancing assessment administration theory and standards of professional practice.
